What Is Cosmetic Dental Surgery?

Unlike restorative dental surgery, cosmetic dental surgery is focused on the aesthetic or cosmetic appeal of a person’s smile. To improve esthetics and facial profile, cosmetic surgeries like genioplasty, sagittal split osteotomy may be done.

Types of Other Dental Surgery we Offer

Oral Submucous Fibrosis (OSMF)

A pre-cancerous condition which may lead to cancer if left untreated. Due to prolonged consumption of tobacco, thickening of oral mucosa and formation of fibrous bands occur which may lead to reduced mouth opening.

Hence surgical intervention may be required to achieve better mouth opening.

CYST/TUMORS

An excisional or incisional biopsy may be done.

A complete removal (enucleation/ marsupialization) may be required followed by reconstruction.

Frenectomy

Labial or lingual frenum may have unusual high attachment which may result into which is more commonly called as TONGUE TIE.

A frenectomy, helps to improve the functional movements of tongue and gradually the speech.
